Raw Parmesan

this really does taste like parmesan cheese, I got the idea from Olivia Newton John's recipe book called  LIVWISE, as we all know she battled breast cancer and won, her book isn't vegan or even vegetarian but it does have loads of fantastic healthy and raw recipes for those who just want to live a healthier lifestyle without going vegan.

1x Cup Cashews
1 Clove Garlic
Pinch Himalayan Salt or to taste.

Place all in the food processor and process until it resembles parmesan.

Raw Chocolate Coconut Ice-cream

This ice cream is utterly amazing, I can eat it in one sitting and know it's all good for me, although I try not to, because of the calories.

3x Cups Ice
1x Cup Raw Cashews
1/4 Cup Raw Cacao Powder
1 Tbs Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Agave Syrup (add more to taste, if you like)
1 Tbs 100% Maple Syrup

Blend all in high speed blender until smooth, if you don't have a blender a food processor does the job, just not as smooth. Sprinkle with raw shredded coconut and enjoy.

If your not a coconut lover or just want choccy ice cream omit the coconut oil and shredded coconut, and it's still awesome.

With left over ice cream (if any) place in the a freezer proof container and freeze until you need your chocolate fix, take out of freezer and let rest for about half an hour before you eat. Will keep up to four weeks.

Superhero Green Smoothie (so I tell my kids)

My children and I drink this smoothie most days for breakfast, my kids love it and I feel a peace of mind knowing that they have had a great start to the day, and no, my children are not on an only raw food diet, although they do eat extremely healthy, eat lots of raw foods, and very little red meat, but lots of fish. I would eventually like them to follow in my footsteps, when they are old enough to make decisions for them selves, and they see how fantastic a raw lifestyle is, I hope you enjoy this smoothie as much as we do, you can even make it into a Superhero Green Pudding by not adding the water, enjoy guys and any feed back is much appreciated.

2x  Large Handfuls of Spinach
2x  Medijool Dates
1x  Flesh of Mango
2x Frozen Bananas
1x Cup of Ice
11/2 Cups of Water

Blend all together in a high speed blender (I swear by my vitamix) Drink and enjoy x

Who can afford organic ? ............ NOT ME

Hi Everyone, so as you all know I'm now eating mainly raw foods well about 98% just can't give up the odd bit of wasabi on my raw sushi and a few other bits, but mainly raw, so eating organic fruit and veg would be so expensive for me as I go through huge amounts, not to say I haven't tried, I did an online order last week and to be honest I spent $160 on a very little box of  produce, I would love love love to be able to afford all organic produce but as I said it's just not going to happen.
So here's what I do I buy everything from my local market and wash everything in a special wash by safegard called Fruit and Veggie Wash, it's very quick and easy to use, all organic ingredients, environmentally save and biodegradable. How it works - the ingredients help stick to the harmful bacteria, dirt, waxes and chemicals to remove them. This is is a local family based company, well local to me anyways, you can find out more at www.safeguardproducts.com.au I hope you find this helpful, at least I feel some peace of mind when feeding my family non-organic foods.

Scrummy Raw Cookies

Being a full time mum I'm always trying to get my kids to eat more raw foods, and over the past few months I've tried many raw biscuit recipes which really my kids could give or take, anyway they love these raw biscuits and I've found a way of not wasting my almond milk pulp as well.

1 cup almond pulp
1 medium frozen banana
5 medjoul dates
2 tbs coconut oil
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 pepita's (pumpkin seeds)
1 tbs dark or clear agave nectar (I use dark as it has more minerals)

If like me you are using the pulp from yesterdays almond milk and the pulp has dried abit just add a couple of tbs of almond milk to get that batter, well like batter.

I also find and maybe its just me, that when I freeze banana's it really brings out there flavour, it does work the same if not frozen but the flavour isn't as bananary.

So mix pulp, frozen banana, dates and coconut oil in a food processor until well combined and like a batter.

Pour batter in a mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Roll into small balls and dehydrate for around 10-12 hours depending on how dry you like them.

Makes between 22-26 biscuits, yum yum yum they are really good if them a try and enjoy xx

Raw Cacao Chia Pudding

1x water of a coconut
1/3 cup of Chia seeds
1 cup water
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
1 Tbs of dark agave nectar or stevia (to taste)

add the chia seeds, water and coconut water in a bowl mix well, then leave to stand for 10 mins, mix again very well to break up any lumps, leave to stand for a further 10 mins, add cacao, agave or stevia and stir well, place in the fridge over night, serve with fresh fruit yummmmmmmy
you can always play around with the amounts to suit your taste.

If you don't have readily available coconuts, water or almond milk is just as yummy xx
